The dining experience at this Asian restaurant in Carbondale was exceptional, with a wide variety of delectable dishes to choose from. The hibachi show was a hit with my grandkids, adding an entertaining element to the meal. The atmosphere was inviting and the service was prompt, making it a memorable dining experience.

If it were possible to give a negative star, this place would get it. Soup and veggie maki were OK, but it was downhill from there. I'd ordered Hibachi shrimp. It came preceeded by a soggy head lettuce salad, and was drowned in some ghastly sweet sauce with a side of the most pathetic overcooked (steamed, NOT cooked on a hibachi) vegetables. A couple of limp carrot slices, broccoli and one tiny pitiful piece of onion. I just couldn't eat it, so tried the coconut shrimp appetizer. Fool that I was, I labored under the delusion that they couldn't mess that up. Wrong. The shrimp was so loaded with coconut and overcooked that it was like eating cardboard. I gave it the old college try and attempted 2, but couldn't eat them either. You may be OK here if you stick with the sushi, but it's an experience I'll not repeat. I know we're in the Midwest, but there are good Japanese restarants in small towns. Unfortunately, this is not one of them.

I took my wife there for her birthday and it was awesome. they have the most amazing hibachi grill around.
