On a cold, blustery day, I visited Big Skillet for a comforting hot lunch and chose the patty melt with a bowl of rich cream of potato soup. The generous portions, friendly service, and consistently good food have made this my go-to restaurant for years, and I always look forward to returning.

On a chilly day, I craved a comforting meal and decided to visit the Big Skillet restaurant. The atmosphere was inviting, with attentive and friendly staff ensuring a pleasant dining experience. I ordered the patty melt with a side of creamy potato soup, and every bite was satisfying and delicious. I left feeling content and already looking forward to my next visit to this wonderful eatery.

This used to be my favorite restaurant to go to until we kept getting the same rude unfriendly server all the time. Not only does her service stink but she is slow, forgetful and very rude. I know George is desperate for help there but you can't expect an experienced good, friendly server to stay if the grumpy,old ones make it miserable for her. Basically the food is very good but without pleasant great service when I choose to come there it's not worth my time or money coming in there.

Great food and owner is always pleasant to me. If ever I had a problem with a meal he immediately apologized and either fixed the problem or I was compensated with a free meal. Had issues with only 1 server. Other than that I love going there for dinner. Again great family restaurant and the food is delicious.

We have been going here for many many years. Food is very good & soups are even better. I miss the dessert case they used to have before covid but understand why they didnt keep after reopening. Waiters &:waitress on fast, efficient & friendly. Thanks George.

I recently started going to this restaurant. The food is fantastic and we'll cooked. The portion sizes are large so I have leftovers for the next day. The staff is polite and friendly. I look forward to going back again soon.

I'm amending a 5 star review posted earlier. We have been going here for years and never had a bad meal... well never say never... my husband and I both had bad meals on the same day. My husband's meat was so fatty, it turned him off; my meal smelled bad, but I started to eat, thinking maybe it was just me. After 2 bites I couldn't eat another. Our appetites were ruined, so having something else was out of the question. I told the owner and all he would say is "I'm sorry". After patronizing this restaurant for many years you'd think he would, at least, reduce the bill somewhat. In today's economy, with restaurants closing everyday, they would rather lose our business than accept responsibility.

The Spring Garden restaurant is under new ownership and is now The Big Skillet Restaurant. A nice family restaurant with good service and a large choice of excellent home made menu items. Dinners include choice of potato or rice, vegetable, a BOWL of homemade soup or dinner salad and a basket of rolls; the daily specials also include dessert. The portions are generous and prices are reasonable. They also offer a senior menu and a kids menu too. They have a good selection of burgers and sandwiches; and breakfast is served all day.
