Last time we'll be patronizing Burnt (Ah... Yep!) Barrel in Sugar Grove! Gave it more than one try and each and every time we left more disappointed. Bar was dirty/greasy and bartender seemed incompetent and slow in service with no personable characteristics one might expect from a bartender. Tables were also not wiped clean and there was water on the bathroom floor - Slip hazzard! Table service is either good or bad, never excellent. There also seems to be some confusion with the staff and several just standing around chatting with one another. Food was terrible - Tough, dry, tasteless steak/chicken, disgustingly gritty skin-on french fries that are overcooked/barely warm, BURNT "Uncle Ski's Sausage" (Way to ruin a great product from "Makowski's Real Chicago Sausage"!), salads with more red onion than lettuce, nachos tasted as bad as they looked and basically the menu has very little to offer - Wish I had ONE good thing to say about this place! Do yourselves a favor and drive a mile south to Fireside Grille - Excellent quality cuisine, great quantities, reasonable prices and service beyond compare! Never have had a bad experience in all the years it has been open! Great entertainment, daily food/drink specials clean/pleasant surroundings and the Owners/Chef Moe and Bartender John are the best in Kane County!! :)

The best is the Nachos with pulled pork.. 1/2 order feeds 2 to 3 easy
