I absolutely love this Mexican restaurant in Illinois. The carne asada tacos and steak burrito are my go-to favorites, but the chimichanga and grilled chicken quesadilla are also winners. The staff is friendly and the takeout service is fast and high quality. If you're passing through Byron, make sure to stop by and enjoy a delicious meal here.

ordered beef enchiladas. the meat was finely ground for like 80 year old people. the meat was absolutely bland, no flavor whatsoever. the rice and beans were very good and so were the chips. service was very fast. and staff personnel were nice. taco bell has more flavorful meat. the salsa also had almost no flavor to it. im not talking heat... im talking flavor. based on the flavorless meat, im tempted to not go back. also just a bit pricey.. 3 enchiladas...rice beans and a soda were 12.62$ almost everywhere else ive ever gone has been about 10$

We visit frequently and drive all the way from Rock Falls to get there but it's worth it. Great food and service!! Only negative is the lighting is too dark. And the ladies bathroom is so dark you can barely see in there. Wonder why they don't fix the light fixture or paint something lighter on the bathroom walls? Their too good of a restaurant to ignore simple fix.

Pretty good Mexican food. Very authentic, not Tex Mex at all. The tacos de carne asada are some of the best I have had. The nachos are very good, not sure what another reviewer was talking about. Perhaps she is used to Taco Bell or she thinks the ground beef in Mexican restaurant is supposed to to taste like it has Ortega seasoning on it? Anyway, if you are looking for real Mexican food and not an Americanized version of it, this restaurant is for you.

The staff was nice enough and the wait wasn't long but they took us to a table that still had to be wiped off. Two different waiters asked us what we wanted to drink, another party came in after us and their order was taken before ours; which is all fine but seemed very unorganized.
We ordered the nachos supreme and chicken quesadilla rellena. The quesadilla was edible but the nachos were pretty gross, the ground beef on them tasted like something out of a can.
Definitely not going back

I love this restaurant we have been there many times and have consistantly gotten good, fast and friendly service, and the food is fresh, flavorful and abundant.
