Top Reviews of Knoxville Family Restaurant

A group of 10 of us recently dined at this family restaurant, where we enjoyed a variety of dishes including fried chicken, beef and noodles, country fried steak, and a philly cheesesteak sandwich. While most dishes received positive feedback, the philly sandwich was noted to be light on meat. The staff was friendly and attentive, ensuring our drinks were refilled promptly. Overall, the restaurant offers generous portions, good food, and a welcoming atmosphere that is popular with locals.

Its a shame that the other review was bad and that those people had a bad experience. This restaurant is just what it says it is ... a FAMILY restaurant. The menu has a good selection of items. Breakfast is very good. They have a variety of sandwiches as well as hot meals. The tacos are very good, and the catfish is some of the best in this area. The prices are resonable and the service is usually good.

My husband and I ate there once, that was more than enough!
My husband ordered the chicken. When he got his order, he used his fork to open it up from the bone, anticipating it to be HOT. However, it was BLOODY, RAW, INSIDE. He called the waitress over and showed it to her. She agreed it was definitely not done, she took it back to the kitchen. Later when she returned, it was BURNT BROWNISH BLACK.
When he brought this to her attention, she WOULD NOT do anything about it. She was FRAID OF THE OWNER and WOULDN'T BRING HIM OVER OR TAKE IT TO HIM.
There was NO credit on the bill or offer of anything in place of the bad chicken. Raw chicken could have killed him with salmonilla poisoning & burnt chicken was just unedible.
My husband paid the bill and we left, NEVER TO RETURN AGAIN. He did leave a honest comment in the box before we left though.
