I have been a loyal patron of Coop for quite some time now, enjoying their expanding offerings and special events like Cruise Night on Wednesdays. The variety of meats and options for non-meat eaters make it a hit with everyone, not to mention the delicious pies they serve. The friendly staff, amazing BBQ, and overall atmosphere keep me coming back a few times each season.

Love the ribs here & they've got the best darn cherry pie in the three county area! If you like smoked cooking this is the place to go in Rockford.

The food can be pretty good. The atmosphere is casual and fun. But watching the old guy berate a customer who didn't hear his number called was a big turn off for me. Kinda killed the experience.

We have been there a number of times and never been disappointed. Food is great, and eating at outside tables is like being on a picnic. My favorite is always the fully loaded baked potato.

We tried the BBQ today for the first time. We were excited to actually eat out. The BBQ was "ok". The Cole slaw was sour. The apple pie was delicious.
We decided to park out back cause it was such a beautiful day.
That was when what we saw shocked us. A blonde woman wearing short white shorts came out of the kitchen area.....she was wearing clear plastic gloves. She never removed her gloves while she helped a man look at her white Jeep. She touched the hood...which she opened.... Touched the tires as she bent over to lean on the tires to look at and touch something underneath. She got in the Jeep touching the steering wheel. The list goes on.....never removing the plastic gloves !
She was also called out by another employee yelling..." Mom"....and using those same gloves touched equipment for the kitchen.
Never once did she remove or change her gloves. And never did she use her face mask.
I was so sorry to see and know that the one time we venture out to eat....we had to pick a place like this.
Not to mention the numerous times she had to reach between her legs and pull her shorts out of her crotch.
Why bother with the gloves ?!?!?!

Best ribs in the area. The loaded potato is unbelievable! When the food is this good, I don't need to make good friends at these places.

I also think that the guy that runs the place needs a course on customer relations. He is not the least bit friendly. The food is just okay and too expensive by the time you buy each item separately. Too many other good places to eat with friendly service,

I have a te at from this place four times 2 take outs and 2 sit downs
The pulled pork sandwich I think is good (small portions) though.
Ordered full slab of ribs for take out. But they gave me no sauce to go with them. I guess you have to ask for that. My mistake.
Just played golf with four others friends and stop there afterwords not one of them like what they ordered.
Chicken,brisket and pulled pork. Again small portion for the beef and the pork.
People that work there are nice and fast.
But I am sorry. There is better places for BBQ

The barbeque is good, but the customer service is not...The old guy who runs the place definitely needs a course in customer relations. The 3rd time I went there, I was told that I parked in the wrong place and was told to move or get out... Needless to say, I got out, never to return....
