If you enjoy ribs and BBQ, Shooters is the place to be with a lively sports bar atmosphere. The staff is friendly and accommodating, making for a pleasant experience. The menu offers great salads and smoked turkey, along with delicious deep fried ribs that I would recommend trying.

Like the other poster Lee I had a horrible experience with the owner 'shooter' and a bartender. I had never been to Shooters, was just in town visiting friends. When we arrived and found a table a very nice server waited on us. We were going to have a few drinks and then order dinner. She was friendly and sufficient and I will say they were nice drinks being poured by the day bartender, who was also very nice. Once we ordered dinner(about an hour in of being there) thats when things took a horrible turn, as 30 mins turned to 40 mins turned to an hour and a half. As i walked toward the bar(by now they had become quite a bit more busy and I had not seen our waitress in awhile)I saw the bartender with her purse over her shoulder going out the door. A new girl was behind the bar now. I politely asked her when she had a second I needed to speak with her and waited very patiently(she looked as though she had had some catching up at the bar to do.) Once she came over I asked her if she would check on our food order and let her know we had been waiting an hour and a half and that two other tables that came in after we ordered had already received their food orders. Mind you, I wasn't rude in any way, my voice wasn't raised and this girl and I call her a girl because no woman would respond/act the way she did. She started screaming at me "to not cop an attitude with me" I was put a back and believe I even said excuse me I then walked off and back to my table. within a few minutes the waitress returned with our food.Again she was nice and apologetic. The food was very good, I must admit. After dinner I made my way outside to have a cig( i know i know i'm trying to quite.) What I walked up on was two other guest complaining to the owner about the very same bartender and her rudeness. all I heard was the owner saying "he stood by his employee." there was an older nice gentlman that seemed to have witnessed her being very rude to the woman when she asked a question about the wine she was purchasing for friend that 'she was done and could get out and she wouldn't get in trouble" I tried to intervene and tell the owner how she had yelled at me and been so very rude but he wasn't having any of it. I suspect a personal relationship between the owner and bartender, I have no proof, mind you but my years of wisdom tell my gut there is. This owner was completely unapologetic and rude himself. I've been in the 'business' for nearly 25 years and have never seen anyone fail at conflict resolution so poorly in my life. He was argumentative, rude and unapologetic THREE BIG NO NO'S in any hospitality/food establishments.By the end of the very one sided, loud and obnoxious rants by the owner, we were told to never come again.NO PROBLEM SHOOTER.I will definately never desire to be treated so rudely by such an arrogant obnoxious spoiled lil brat( I wasn't surprised when I was told his daddy had given him this place) which is a shame, great location, great building with lots of space, good food and drinks unfortunately I think this owner will manage to alienate lots of his regulars over time. I don't see spending money where as a guest, I am treated so horrifically. I suppose you had to be there to experience just how offensive this 'Shooter' and bartender( no name, thin girl with long dark hair) really were. I suggest they both take some anger management classes and that shooter take some management classes and attend some conflict resolution conferences and get his act together!! Your behavior, Shooter, was unacceptable and reprehensible and would never fly in the real world of restaurant ownership.

As a customer I have never been treated so poorly by a business owner.

Example 1: My family and our 16 month old son were eating lunch at 2pm on Thursday. Our son was squealing with delight about eating french fries. The owner came over and said, "I don't know what you are doing to make that kid scream but stop." My husband and I laughed it off thinking he was kidding, Instead he said, "No seriously, shut him up.". Why have highchairs and offer families the option to eat there if you don't want the business?

Example 2: We ordered a to go order. Shooter's stated it would be ready in 20 minutes. I arrived at 25 minutes and waited another 15. Took the food home to discover the chicken was bright pink on the inside. I called Shooters in which they told me, "They temp. everything so it has to be cooked right and needed to see chicken." I mistakenly only brought one of the chicken back to them which they explained, "was a tendon not undercooked". I prefer not to eat pink chicken of any mean and know how too cook chicken. They didn't offer to comp my meal but rather challenge my judgement when I stated both breasts were undercooked. Poor customer service and regard to patrons wishes by owner not staff.

The many many many times my family, friends, co-workers and I have attended Shooter's the staff has been wonderful and up until recently the food as well. The management and owner/cook, "John" has been horrid and will no longer receive my business.
