I ordered the steak Gordita dinner while my boyfriend had the taco dinner, and despite usually sticking to Elgin for Mexican cuisine, I decided to try this calm and not too busy restaurant where the tender steak and delicious salsas that accompanied the complimentary chips impressed me, making it my go-to for authentic Mexican food in the area, especially since Chef Alex's creations, including the flavorful steak taco dinner and fluffy Mexican rice, have always exceeded my expectations.
