I just visited this restaurant today and asked for a "Daily Double". When I got home, the sandwaich was not right. I called the store to speak with a manager about it. She stated that they did not offer the Daily Double until tomorrow, but to "bring the sandwich back in and we can make it into a Daily Double". I worked this same restaurant for 7 years as a teenager and I'm sure there are health board rules against a customer bringing a sandwich back in to be re-dressed out into another sandwich. My questions are, "Why didn't the employee working counter state, 'Sorry sir, but we do not offer that sandwich currently' and 'Why didn't the manager offer me a new sandwich rather than making the offer to re-dress this sandwich?' or 'Why not take the customer's name and offer to make it right during the next visit?'" I remember my managers stating that if a customer orders something that we don't currently offer, then we will prepare a sandwich for them if we can.....and I remember doing this for the McDLT, and ringing it out as a quarter pounder with cheese and tomato. It was estimated that for every bad experience a customer has they will report it to 10 of their friends/family and that equates to lost business. This restaurant rates poorly for service and quality for me, because of this experience.
