Was passing through Scottsburg Indiana back on December 8th. The next day I noticed my debit card was charged twice, once for our order plus someone else's order. We live about 3 hours away from there so I called the restaurant. I was told that they couldn't refund my debit card and they would send a gift card for the amount of the other order that was charged on my card. I waited about two weeks and called them back and they said they were still working on it. I ended up calling multiple times since then. I never get to talk to the same manager twice. I contacted corporate both by email and phone. They told me that they couldn't do anything about it that it had to go through the restaurant......even though I explained to them that I had been going through the restaurant multiple times and nothing has been done. I don't understand how a multi million dollar company has such a problem with refunding money that was there mistake. Oh, I almost forgot, I contacted the tourist center in Scottsburg Indiana and they checked in to it. They were told that the money would be put back on my debit card. My first phone call to the restaurant I was told they didn't have that capability to do that. Just giving people a heads up that eat at the Sonic in Scottsburg Indiana to always check your receipt and bank account before you leave because you will never get your money back if you are charged incorrectly.
