This restaurant is a family favorite where the food is consistently delicious and the service is lightning-fast, catering perfectly to my picky eaters. Whether it's the mouthwatering pancakes or the unbeatable Friday fish specials, every visit leaves my taste buds dancing and my wallet happy!

Place is on a downward path & never gets better. This week the worst ever. Waitress-to-cook, cook-to-waitress, waitress-to-table, wrong order x2. Not just me either, overhearing waitstaff & other patrons. Left before 3rd attempt arrived, due to unseen charges on the bill, unwritten & never heard of before.
Boils down to poor management skills all around, including but not limited to hiring & training. Good food used to depend on what was ordered. Good service stopped when your food arrived...with the check. Check down, good luck getting refills, dessert, ketchup, waitress. This persists, often dictates low tipping. Now it's just full-out embarrassing. Visitors --don't judge us on USA alone. Believe it or not, we may be small town, but we actually do know the difference between a breaded fried veal cutlet & naked roasted pork tenderloin, & the difference between a cheeseburger & a pattymelt. Yes, it was that extreme. Try down the road, over the river, on the river, or through the woods for a taste of Monticello.

Just left there about 30 minutes ago, the fish was OK but my potato the inside of it was cold my corn was cold I got no sweetener with my unsweetened tea and I had to ask 10 minutes after the lady dropped off my food to get some tartar sauce for all you can eat fish meal. I am extremely disappointed I had the same meal on lunch one day and it was great service is great but my experience tonight was terrible I may never eat there again.
