Was a little Leary trying a small Mom & Pop place, since we have been disappointed at other places that we've tried randomly. We were very pleasantly surprised! We had a big group of 18-20 people. They were very accommodating even when we added 5 more than we originally planned.
There was a good variety of choices on the menu everything from biscuits and gravy to smelt, pasta, steak,& shrimp. Their was even prime rib on the menu. (After 4 pm, so unfortunately we missed that)
There was only 1 server waiting on us and a couple of other groups of 6-8. Every order in our group was correct, she was fast and efficient and attentive. Have been to other places with only 3 or 4 in our party where everything was not quite right....
No one in our group was unhappy with their meal. Overall, the service was excellent, the food was very good and we were very glad we stopped at West Side Diner, which was friendly and inviting. Felt at home there.
