The restaurant has a relaxed ambiance and efficient service. The homemade ranch dressing was flavorful, and the beef tip meal was generously portioned. I particularly enjoyed the breadsticks, which seemed to have a special touch. The atmosphere strikes a balance between upscale and casual, with a sports bar vibe enhanced by numerous TV screens. The Ice House in Clarinda, Iowa, is a popular spot known for its diverse menu, attentive staff, and inviting environment.

We'd been on the road for several hours and were looking for a good place for a nice meal on a rainy Sunday evening. At first, all we saw in Clarinda were the usual fast food places, but then we saw the lights of the Ice House Restaurant and Sports Bar and decided to take a chance. Right away we saw it was clean with reasonable prices and a wonderfully varied menu! We were greeted by a bubbly waitress named Mallory, I believe. She was helpful with suggestions and on the ball with anything we needed. Our food was hot and delicious and served in a very timely manner! We will certainly try to make this stop again during our travels! Thank you, Ice House! The only thing I can suggest is maybe to put a larger sign by the road so people don't miss this great dining experience! Thanks again!

I have occasionally ordered a box of broasted chicken for pick up as a treat and an easy meal for my family. We have always enjoyed it. But when I did this yesterday, I got home with a box of chicken that was so overcooked and tough that it just couldn't be eaten. I feel totally ripped off . . . $15 for inedible chicken that had to be thrown out. Never again . . . .
