I was in Amana today, and the parking lot to the Brick Haus was closed off by a cable across the entrance that said something like "do no enter". So I called the restaurant's number, and there was a short recorded message that said they are closed, and will open in late April. That's almost two months ago....can anyone update what's going on there???

My family had a wonderful meal at the Brick Haus on April 2,2009 as we were dining I heard 2 of the servers talking with a girl named Megan. She must still work there according to the desciption. My advise go check it out she is still there. Besides we also had a wonderful efficient server named Charnel ask for her we were told to ask for her and it was worth it. Excellent service and the best food in the area!!!! That restaurant has been in business for over 65yrs!!!! That is just awesome and the original people are still there!

I came to Iowa from out of town and came to this establishment with my husband. We had the best service ever from a cute tall waitress named Megan. When I called back on the weekend to bring in a party of 8, I requested Megan and was told "She is no longer with us, she messed up". I was shocked that I would be told this and will not go back to the Brick Haus again. Where ever Megan is working now is probably a better place anyway. They have lost a good employee for whatever reason. AND have lost some customers as well.
