The food was exceptional, with standout items like the catfish and fried chicken that had a fresh and crispy batter. The okra was some of the best I've had in a long time, and the mac & cheese had a unique and delicious flavor. Despite a slow service, the overall experience was enjoyable due to the great food and friendly staff.

Call in order..was the vegetable plate, lady said I get 4 sides thought that was weird pick up order and is missing vegetable plate I called to let them know the plate was forgotten. The lady recognized an issue with the order and told me to drive back to the restaurant to pick up my order once I got there they told me 4 salads is the vegetable plate. I asked if they was serious because I just spent $27 on salad and a hamburger steak. Wouldn't go back even if they made this right.

Ate there Sunday. Wow, like a traditional Sunday dinner. Ordered the smothered steak. Thought I would need a knife to cut but so tender my fork easily cut the meat. My wife had the fried chicken which was perfectly fried. Sides were plenty and tasted great. Excellent experience. Left full and completely satisfied.

This was my first time patronizing this establishment, and it will probably be my last. Although the staff was very pleasant and the atmosphere appeared be clean and kind of rustic, I did not get what I paid for. I ordered fried chicken dark, speckled butter beans, turnip greens, yams, cornbread, and a chocolate cake. The order also came with a drink. My total was $16.88. The quantity of the serving definitely does not match the price. The size of the chocolate cake which I was charged $3.49 was enough to make me turn around and ask for a refund (which I did not do). On top of this, the tea was TOO sweet that I could not drink it, the cornbread had lumps of dry flour in it, and the chicken was not freshly cooked. It was extremely tough and dry. So, suffice it to say, I don't think I will patronize this establishment anymore.

Food is high quality and fresh. I would highly recommend this restaurant when you're craving a good home meal but not in the mood to cook.

The first time I ate there I thought it was great, but the last 2 times have not been a good experience. Both times they ran out of one of the main dishes(meats) and you had to wait a long time for it. Today, they were out of baked chicken and fried livers and the veggies were too salty. They put way to much dressing on your salad to the point that it just does'nt taste good, even when you tell the guy just a little bit of dressing please. He doesn't act like he is listening at all, they seem over whelmed. I don't think I will go back.
