The food is excellent . If you know Italian food this is a hidden treasure on one of the back streets in Hoboken. The service is great even when it is so crowded-they handle it well. The mozzarella is amazing and made fresh got to try it and don't forget the cannoli OMG

HORRIBLE SERVICE. AVOID THIS PLACE. I recently ate here and had a disagreement with the waitress regarding the horrible service. I politely mentioned that I would be posting a bad review of the restaurant because the service was very rude, but the waitresses response was "We don't care what people think of us. We have our regular customers so we don't need any more customers than that." So apparently unless you are a regular customer at this restaurant, you will be treated like garbage. There are much better restaurants in Hoboken with better service and better food, such as Leo's or Margueritta's or countless others, so don't waste your time and money on this place.

This restaurant is a scam. Do not eat here. I recently ate there with a few people. When the bill came, they did not provide an itemized bill of what we had ordered and did not indicate that gratuity was already added to the bill. I called the restaurant the following day when I realized the error, but they refused to fix the issue and hung up on me when I tried to discuss it. If you want average food, bad service, and to get ripped off, eat here. Otherwise, there are plenty of better, honest restaurants in Hoboken to eat at.

honestly, hands down this is the best restaurant in hoboken. family owned, family run, great service, great food, low prices. byob keeps the bill miniscule and i have yet to have a bad dish there over the last 6 years.....have a party, large group, this is the place to go. give it a shot if you haven't tried it and if you already have, you know what i'm talking about!

3 lies I was told about my recent delivery order from Cafe Michelina:
Lie 1 - 7:30pm called in order and was told food would be delivered in 45 minutes.
Lie 2 - 1+ hour later called to check on status of order and was told that our food just went out and should be there any minute.
Lie 3 - 1.5+ hours later called to let them know our order still hadn't arrived and was told they never had an order from our address and then suggested I must have ordered from another restaurant. When I told them I know who we ordered from and was hitting redial on our phone, they still insisted I must have made the mistake and then even hung up on me!
As such, we will never give business to Cafe Michelina again!

The food is excellant, there is usually always a wait and they don't take reservations for under 6pp but its worth waiting especially since you can DYOB while you wait.
We are going to Cafe Michelina's for the delicious food not the decor or atmoshpere which is no frills but cozy for that casual dining experience.
I recommend the garlic bread and all the pasta dishes are great. The Chicken Murphy is one of my favorites.

I have been going to cafe michelina for 5 years now and is absolutely phenomenal in my opinion. I been in the kitchen and saw that all prepartions are made to order , not to mention fresh. the owner pete is a very kind and hospitable man, although the restaurant is small, do not be fooled , it can get quite busy on the weekends and at night. the staff is also limited, but they do a great job trying to accomodate and please. You can't make every single person happy but again there is very little complaints about this place, just try it and i'm sure you would LOVE IT!! I highly recommend this place to EVERYONE!!!!

We LOVE this place! Great service, superior food & a charming atmosphere. We're on the same street so it's a favorite of ours and always has been!
