I've been a regular at this Mexican restaurant since I was knee-high to a grasshopper. The food here is like a taste of home, and the staff always make me feel like I'm part of the familia!

Extremely horrible customer service! She said she was too busy chatting and watching the weather on TV, to check on her customers. She runs this place too? Extremely sad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know she is family, but do yourself a favor and get rid of her!

My guess is the one bad review was written by someone connected to the mexican place they mention in Hillsboro. You can't beat Al's for mexican food!

I read the one bad review above and not even sure what food was ordered - a hamburger? Al's is known for their mexican food. We've always had decent service there, sometimes they're a little busy and could use one more person, but even then it wasnt terrible. I first rate a mexican place by how their beans taste, and they are excellent at Al's. We've been there 3 times now and have loved the food every time. In fact we're making the 45 minute trip one way on the Harley's after work tonight to eat there again because we've been craving the food lately! Love it!

Al's cafe at Lost Springs, KS, has terrific Mexican food! Friendly, relaxed, itty bitty town atmosphere, where they leave you alone to eat and visit. None of that Big City rush and bustle. This isn't a fast food McD's, but it's just-cooked, hot, and yummy!

The food was average at best, hamburger cooked in water with no flavor. The service was terrible, the blonde young girl waiting on us acted like she didn't want to be there and her service showed. I would not waste my time to drive back, lost an hour and a half of my life I will never get back to try this place. Do yourself a favor and go to Hillsboro and eat at the Mexican place there.

Excellent food! Some of the best Mexican food I have ever had. Cannot complain about a thing. Reasonably fast service, clean restrooms, friendly staff and most of all...GREAT FOOD!
