The staff at this restaurant was absolutely fantastic, making sure to check on us multiple times throughout our meal. The traditional fare was delicious and the space was impeccably clean. The kids adored the unique saddle seats, adding to the friendly and welcoming atmosphere of the place.

My autistic, non verbal 7 year old daughter upset a group of customers on our visit. The group complained to the manager of Van's steakhouse, who then confronted my grandma about it. The experience was upsetting, as I don't think it was necessary to confront my grandma about her great granddaughter who is autistic and can't help herself. Won't be going back, as Van's doesn't seem child friendly and considerate to the disabled. Poor management.

Try the Chicken Fried Steak!
All I'm going to say is that the secret to the breading is vanilla ice cream milk. Just order it! It's awesome. It would be better if Van's used a real piece of chopped steak instead of a pre-presssed frozen patty they get from Harkers.
Regardless, it's unique and very tasty!!!
