Best bbq in Salina!!!! Party potatoes r the best with pulled pork u can never go wrong. Keep up the good work guys!!!

AMAZING FOOD AND OWNERS. I am in the same fraternity as a son of the Blakes, who own the restaurant. The Blakes were kind enough to donate an enormous batch of both baked beans and potato salad to a fraternity event I was in charge of. I was initially just thankful to not have to pay for the sides, little did I or my brother realize however, that these would be the best baked beans and potato salad we had ever had (seriously everyone at the 150 person event said so). The only thing better than the food are the people who own it, they prepare their food and treat their community just right! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

I hoped to send this directly to the owner and not public but they have no email that I could find on their website. I have been eating at the Hickory hut for many years as a group I travel with makes it into and almost pilgrimage when we pass through Kansas. I was on a trip with my wife this last week and I raved about it to her. We got our food(TOGO for a pick nick a few miles down the road. When we settled down and opened up our take outs the Meat (Ribs and Brisket) were horrible. Rib meat was dried and hard to the point I could not chew it. The brisket was the scrapings off the bottom of a steam table pan that had been there for a very long time. The brisked was dried up meat crumbs that were like eating sawdust. I was very disappointed. the Slaw and Potato salad were up to their usual excellence. I don't know how the guys are going to take this at work but I cannot go back there lest I see my supper in advance of payment. We were traveling or I would have taken the meals back and given the restaurant a chance to make it right.
