We use to go to Jailhouse from 2009-2019 at least monthly, then something changed; never enough staff and the quality of food went downhill. Our out of town visitors ALWAYS requested this restaurant; after 2019, they stopped bc our last visit was horrible! Over an hour wait, then one of our guests walked past the kitchen and seen employees making food with no gloves; GROSS!
I would NOT recommend wasting your money at this place! I feel bad for the employees who, due to piss poor management and lack of training, miss out on making money, including tips.
Hopefully people with actual restaurant experience can buy this place and run it the way a successful business should be run!

Love Jailhouse! The pizza is always great, along with the appetizers! The staff is friendly. This is a great place to bring out of town friends and family! Best pizza in the area!

We have had pizza at all of the parlors here in the Louisville area ,but the pizza at Jailhouse Pizza was very, very good. Wonderfully thick soft crust was delicious and it had so much toppings that they were falling off. My compliments to all. Very good and polite waiters and waitress'. Good fast service.

The food was great the service was wonderful with very friendly staff. The building was very historical with much educational and visual information. You can eat in a cell and see the hanging room intact. The eating area had a great river view. I cant say enough positive things.

Unbelievable atmosphere and pizza! The place is the most unique place i have ever been to eat. You have to check it out.

Made the drive from Louisville and it was worth it the best pizza i have ever had the service was wonderful and the view of the ohio river outstanding will make the drive again great job Jailhouse..........

A group of biker friends had accidentally found out about Jail House Pizza on line. On Sunday, September 05,2010 we decided to ride there from Sellersburg Indiana. Really glad we did. The service was great! The Food was Awesome and the establishment was COOL! The preservation of the old Meade County jail was great! We had a blast and took a lot of pictures. This is one place that we will get a larger group and frequent! The scenery from the Jail House is beautiful, sits by the River.

Wow, I thought i had eaten the best pizza ever while i was in NYC, but i was completely wrong! I veisted Jailhouse Pizza before when it was under different management, and it was decently good food. But, since i heard new owners had taken it over and had Pizza background, I had to try it. I was completely blown away. We had the Prisoner Last Request, 18 inch 6 topping stuffed pizza and the BBQ chicken Pizza. The crust was so light and crisp and all the toppings were amazing! I rate this the top 3 places i have every eaten!

Heard this place had just reopened so me and a couple freinds went and got a 6 inch personal pan pizza and it was delicious, the staff was also very nice and was happy to show us around. We will be going back tomorrow.

The place is amazing. We ate there before it closed down in Nov and the food was awesome. best pizza we had in a long time. GOOD NEWS!!! I heard new owners have bought the Jailhouse and it's reopening soon!!! Music to my ears

We use to drive down from Louisville to eat there.
The food was great. We didn't mind the wait because
the people were so nice and those Garlic Bites were to "die for". We just recently moved here and were sOOOOOOOOOOOOOO very disappointed to find the place closed. Our family who lived here already didn't know because they had just ate there. They took us out to celebrate our new home and what a LET DOWN!! We miss you all and the PIZZA.

When Jail House Pizza first opened, it was so crowded, you couldn't get in..If you did get in, it was a 1-2 hr. wait.. no one knew what to do or how to handle the crowds. People were leaving because of the lack of organization and chaos. A few months later, we went back.. The pizza was pretty good. Being from NJ where pizza is a main staple, I thought this is great, finally a place where we can get a decent pie... After time, the pizza changed.. and then they started slicing it into squares.. what the...?....I brought my Dad there last week, and ordered 2 pies ($40), and they were burnt..to a crisp...! they never even checked it..... I don't think we will be going back anytime soon. Sorry Richard, who is also from NJ, everytime we go there, you are not there... wish you were there that day, I would have liked my money back.....

First of all I have to say the food is pretty good, but I'm not a big fan of waiting 1-1/2 hrs for 2 pizzas. We were not the only ones tired of waiting we saw 3 other tables leave before they even got drinks. The people behind us said they had been there for 15 minutes and no one even spoke to them.
ATTN OWNER: HIRE MORE PEOPLE! We didn't pay for our pizza ($40) also three other tables left, by my calculation you lost out on $160-$200 worth of business in 1-1/2 hours. How much would one more employee cost you?

OMG this place is awesome. myhusband and i were working in brandenburg today and were just looking to spend time on river and we find this place. the food is great and so is the service and the history in this place is absolutely awesome. i can not wait to go back. it is definitely a place to take childen to get some lessons on history and how things looked back in those days. this will definitely be a fav spot of ours and we will be there a lot. thank you to who ever owns it for keeping the history in there and for some really great food. also they did infrom us there is a website at jailhousepizza@myspace.com. i have not made it to the site yet. if you are down that way please check it out.

This place is really neat. They have old newspapers lining the wall about the tornado, Kennedy's assasination, landing on the moon and more. The kids love eating in the real jail cell and taking the tour is a must. They actually hung 13 people in this jail! The stuffed pizza is a must! A 14 inch is large enough for a family of four. I had a salad bar that came with chili. He makes the chili daily and it is the bomb! They have a kids menu that ranges from chicken to hamburger and of course a pizza. We live in Louisville and this is one of our favorites.
