Think this place, once called the Depot has another name now. Always made a point of stopping there. Had a vegetable plate on menu. Also baked small bread in clay flower pots. It was NOT the Whistle stop but next door on West side of RR tracks. Took many photos while standing on porch, must dig them out to see name. Hope it is still under same ownership. Very quaint. Great fried green tomatoes. It was once a train station.

My husband called to make sure they were open and they answered with another name: Tony York's. They took our reservation. I wish they had been totally booked. We ordered Hot Browns for $12.95 each and my husband requested a side salad. I think they charged about $10 for that. Good flavor, but the ham in my dish was cold in the middle, very chewy and had several large chunks of grizzle. The cherry tomatoes on the side were good. C. liked the salad a lot, but wasn't expecting the added cost. We ordered dessert without looking at prices. C. got chocolate cake and I got 7 layer coconut, both which took a longer than average time to serve (probably because they were frozen. Cost, $6 and $8 respectively! The total cost was about $50 for the two of us. Foo-foo atmosphere. No flower-pot bread (or any bread basket). You only get exactly what you ask for and get charged Ala carte. What a waste of money!

We have eaten at your restaurant twice and thoroughly enjoyed both times. Love the fried green tomatoes and other country cooking! Good value and nice atmosphere.

Visiting your area, we were referred to your restaurant, as a "local favorite." We were anticipating good 'ol country cooking - and were REALLY disappointed at your attempt at Fine Dining. The restaurant was nestled in a quaint little antique town, but failed at trying to be Big Shots. We were very shocked at the prices, even for your entrees that could be considered country fare. In todays enconomy, you'd better stick to hometown cooking, at hometown prices. We would NOT recommend this place to anyone.
