VERY GOOD FOOD.

I moved to the area about five years ago and my neighbors all told me about Gerbers, but I could never spot it! Thankfully, I finally did spot it and stop by every time I am in the area and hungry. Their bacon cheeseburgers with onion rings are beyond compare as are their Ruben sandwiches. This is the best restaurant in the area by far!

EXCELLENT!

I absolutely LOVE Gerber's! I live in Portsmouth, so it is a bit of a drive for dinner. If there was one closer, I would be there regularly! It is a great example of good old fashioned "diner" type food. I love the Chicken and Cheese sandwich, and the steak fries are great! There are so many items to choose from. I have never had one that I didn't like. The salads are HUGE and are wonderful! I did go there on a Sunday and I have to say that the menu was limited. It was not like a regular day at Gerber's. I much prefer the menu through the week. If you are looking for good food, I would highly recommend Gerber's! It is one of my favorites!

I have never eat a pork chop with a pop cycle stick, but Gerber's are so tender that you could. A knife is simply not needed. Then to top it off, it is sitting on a bed of delicious dressing. The rolls are to die for. I am going back there today, Wednesday. Every Wednesday they offer this as a special. And it is special indeed.

I remember going to Gerbers every Sunday after church with my grandparents. After moving away for 6 years to go to college, having dinner at Gerbers was at the top if my list of things to do when I returned home. I found that they are now closed on the weekends! But the quality of food and service is the most disappointing factor. Everything is canned or frozen and has a very bland taste. Unfortunately, it seems the economy has effected this restaurant now and they have has to cut corners to survive.

This place used to be a nice place to eat. These days however there is nothing "homecooked" about this place and the food is all from boxes or cans. not to mention the service sucks, I tried to call in a pick up order and the girl huffed and puffed an acted like I was bothering her by bring my money there and when I asked about a kids menu I was told they won't let people order from the kids menu from over the phone? So In short if you want rude service and bad food, Gerbers is the place to go.

Best home cooking in Greenup County Kentucky! My wife and I would drive from Dayton, Ohio again and again for their Baked Steak, homemade mashed potatoes and gravy and fresh green beans! They are only open during the weekdays. But wonderful home cooked meals! Excellent!
