If you're after an authentic old-school diner experience, this little restaurant in downtown Hopkinsville is the real deal, having been around since 1936. The burgers are fresh and delicious, the chili is outstanding, and the friendly service makes it feel like a nostalgic trip back in time.

The last time I went to Ferrell's, and I've ate there since 1976, I ordered 6 cheeseburgers and 3 Chilis to go, no drinks and I had 27 dollars in cash in my pocket, and I had to go back to the car to get more cash because I was still short 8 bucks. Never again, sorry Ferrell's the juice isn't worth the squeeze anymore.

Wow! Better have lots o cash, maybe set up monthly payments, burgers not what I remember, been in hoptown all my 63 yrs,always enjoyed Ferrell's, I can grill my own and invite my buddies.

So I just left there and I know mostly the cooks squeeze all the life out of the burgers so I tell the cook "I like the grease." He proceeds to cook them and they look good! Problem is, he put them in another guys order right in front of me and gave me two crispy dry burgers! Exactly what I didn't want! I have spent probably $500 this year alone. The disrespect is intolerable, not to mention, I Prepaid and he decided to have a conversation with the customer before me while my burgers laid on the counter for minutes. And where is the extra pickles and onions I ordered. None at all! I'm done!!!
