I have been here several times. Everything was always good. One time they were busy and it to awhile for our orders but that is normal for a busy time in any place. I tell everyone about Phillly's.

We went there for lunch and I ordered steak and gravy and mashed potatoes. My friend ordered a fish sandwich and his son ordered pizza. We were all very anxious for some good home cooked food. I tried to eat the steak and it tasted horrible! It was a frozen patty and cooked in old cooking oil. The mashed potatoes weren't any better... Instant with a sick taste. My friend said his fish sandwich didn't taste good either and he thought it was chicken which it was... Very poor with same burnt cooking oil taste. His son ate half of the frozen pizza and he gave me a slice. It was terrible too. The only thing that tasted OK was the French fries and sweet tea. I asked to speak to the manager and she was very rude when I told her the food was inedible. She had the nerve to say that some people like it. I asked for a partial refund which she said OK very reluctantly. A few minutes later our waitress came back out and said that we would not get any reimbursement. I am not the type to complain or write reviews but people need to be warned about this place! Never eat at this disgusting place! Now we are all sick and I will report them to the authorities!

Pretty good food. Burgers and stuff, feels like bar food. I like the vibe of the restaurant. It's a nice place to take the kids on a Friday night. We usually get a pizza for them. I'll order a sandwiche, or sometime the ribeye steak.

Terrible service. Do NOT go there if you are in a hurry or do not like to wait forever for food. Food is okay, but nothing special. Would not recommend it.

Johnny and Phyllis Dukes, owners of Philly's restaurant, have big, Christmas-sized hearts. I called them from my home in Central Florida to see if they could help me with an unusual request. My father is suffering with COPD and is in long term care in a nearby Kentucky hospital. In his situation, it's hard to find something that he actually likes, but when I asked him if he would like a steak and lobster dinner for Christmas, I could almost see his smile over the phone line! My wife and I had visited Philly's once-on a trip to see Dad so it was the first place I thought of calling. Owner Johnny Dukes answered the phone. When I told him about my Dad's situation, he didn't let the fact that he doesn't have lobster on the menu stop him. Instead, he said he would go to the local supermarket and buy lobster. He did just that and put together a porterhouse, baked potato, salad and two lobster tail meal. The wonderful people at the hospital picked up the meal. My dad was thrilled when I called him for the "report". He said the food was delicious and there was so much that he split the meal between two days. The kindness of the wonderful people at Philly's helped to give my dad a gift that was certainly one of the highlights of his year. If you like the idea of wonderful people in the kitchen preparing delicious food, then I suggest visiting Philly's at 621 Greene Dr, Greenville, KY. Thank you Johnny and Phyllis!
