The food here is exceptional, especially the hot ham and cheese and fried pickles. The pizza is also delicious and I've never had a bad meal at this restaurant. It's a great spot to grab a bite to eat after a day of hiking in the Gorge, with good food, a nice atmosphere, and reasonable prices.

We come here from Tn. To us it is the best chicken we have ever tasted. This area is slim pickings with resturants. The corn bread Cafe is country style food.
But we always love eating there. I am happy to pay for a great meal & not have to cook. It's a great little place .

Got there 20minutes after they open. No food on the buffet and if there was it was burnt. $10.00 for scrambled eggs and gravy and 1 piece of sausage

Never do get an order right, get home and something is always missing. Slowest cook ever. Had to wait over an hour for 3 little personal pizzas. On Sundays the help never cleans the tables off so others in line can sit down. They just walk around and ignore them. Terrible place to call itself a restaurant!

Called in a food order tonight for two burger platter and a Stromboli platter,granddaughter and husband went to pick them up food cold and fries mushy my burger bun was all saggy and nasty.My husband's Stromboli was so dry had no sauce or anything just a dry sand which what a big disappointment but not surprised also the coleslaw we both took a bite of ours at the same time and I went to say Do not eat the coleslaw as it is spoiled just as he was going to say the same to me. It is really a shame that this lady has had this place now for years and she still does not care about the quality of her stuff no wonder they couldn't run the store it was the same cheap nasty meat spoiled grocery's.I will not waste another dime there.

We love the Cornbread Cafe! 15 of us drove our classic cars down to Frenchburg just to eat at the Cornbread Cafe. We had done this last fall also, and brought some more friends this time. The moment we entered the restaurant, the waitress asked how many were in our group, and began to put tables together, so we could sit together. They immediately took our drink order, and asked who wanted the buffet. We all did, so they said to go ahead and get our plates. The food was delicious, and there was plenty of it. We arrived a little after 11:00 am, and the restaurant soon began to fill up. All the waitresses were friendly and came by often to see if we needed refills. We will definitely be visiting again soon.

The food was burnt and dry, not to mention expensive. It was eighteen dollars and some odd cents for a medium pizza and two small drinks, and the pizza could fit on a regular sized plate, I would not recommend it to anyone I would like to keep as a friend.

always love the buffet on Fridays, when we was down that way, would go out by there and bring home supper from the buffet, got a lot of food for a good price, but today I was very disappointed, my mom and I stopped by there today to get our supper and bring home, and when we went to check out boy did we get a surprise, we thought we was getting like we used to the buffet all you can get in your plate and close it for the buffet price and a salad plate also, my mom got her box from the buffet for her food and salad and a drink and it was over 16.00 for just her, they made you open your box, look at how much stuff you got apparently you don't get the buffet price when you say a buffet to go you only get one piece of meat and 2 sides and every piece of meat or sides over that is extra, so guess from now on when we are down on that end of town we will be bringing home something else from somewhere else off of a buffet that you can at lease fill your plate up, when you eat there you probably will eat more then 2 sides and one meat, if you order the buffet and eat very much at all, so you should at lease get to do that with the take out also, I also got charge for my salad plate, full price and I don't like salad, all I had was a few pieces of ham in it and some egg pieces and dressing over it, didn't take up a corner of the salad container, they are not very friendly there either. I like to go to the small town businesses but they need to appreiciate their customers and make them happy, and act like they are at least glad to see them there.

The food is average. Nothing to put down or brag about. What does bring this resturant down is service. The waitress almost never check on drink refills. And its not they are busy, they spend most thier time setting at the counter chatting or watching tv.

Went there for breakfast, nothing to cheer about but not to bad. The folks there were friendly. So, we went back for dinner that evening, TERRIBLE. They close at 9 so we were there at 8:10 and were told the buffet is closing, we had to order off the menu. Long story short, 40 mins. later finally got the worse food EVER. My wife didn't even get all she ordered. Refills, had to get the waiter away from the TV to get them. Top 10 worse meals EVER. Next day went to the Little place across from the courthouse, don't let the looks fool you, Out Of This World. Got the Country Fried Steak Sandwich, Fried Green Tomatoes, WOW!! The Rest of the family LOVED theirs as well. Don't waste your time and money at the Corn Bread Cafí©. If the owner reads this or even cares, change out your evening employees with folds that care. Your Place is Beautiful but evening service and food is really bad. Too Bad!!

I eat there the first time today, I was impressed. I was around 7:30 P.M. the waitress came to meet us at the door an was very attentive from that time onward. She and the other young lady seemed to carry themselves professionally. They also were attentive to the cleanliness and seemed well organized.

The food came out piping hot and was well cooked. The fried potatoes were more like fried chips, but had a good taste and were acceptable. I am used to length cut fried potatoes, but this was a change and that is OK. I would change the menu and put fried potato chips in place of fried potatoes, then they could sell them as fish (cat fish) and chips, just a idea.

Over all I like the restaurant, simple straight forward cafe design, really looks nice old school modern. Clean, good food, good service. It is not a Golden Corral or Red Lobster but that is not what I expected anyway and the prices reflect that and seem reasonable for what they sell. I think from my experience Frenchburg Ky has a nice little restaurant and will be back again.

Had Catfish, it was RAW! Sent it back, when she brought it back, it was Still RAW! I let her know, the owner came out and asked me to leave, and never come back!!!!! I have eaten all over the US and Canada, their food it THE WORSE I have eve had! Another time there, the fish was not even thawed yet, and they couldn't cook it, so I was told. The coleslaw is not even fit to feed to the HOGS !! Everyone is also Very Unfriendly too. Don't waist your time by going there.

Absolutely wonderful!!! The buffet is sooooo good. You definately get you money's worth!!! I highly suggest trying!!!

I wouldnt even give it one star, more like half a star. The food isnt that good and the service is terrible. The owners dont care about customer satisfaction.
