The Chinese food here reminds me of what you'd find at a mall, but the friendly service adds a charming touch. While the menu is extensive and the dishes are satisfying, it's best suited for those who appreciate straightforward takeout without any frills.

A couple of weeks ago I ordered 3 Singapore Mein Fun's (love this) with 2 being regular spicy and 1 extra spicy each with extra shrimp for delivery. I repeated the order several times and he said "Yeah." Thought he understood. Paid and tipped the driver in advance and the order arrived. I served it to my 94 year old mother and she started coughing. All 3 orders were extra spicy. Called China Star and informed of the error. They sent 3 more. Thought this was good customer service. Yesterday called to place another order and spoke with Ms. Yang. Then talked to him. Asked to speak with her again. Told "No deliver." Told we were banned because of the previous complaint. I have been a loyal, paying customer for decades. Really. Never had a problem. Thought we had a very good rapport. Always friendly. Knew me so well she could order for me. But now we are banned because they did not get the order right. What kind of customer service is that? Horrible. The Yang's do not care.
