My family and I ate at the Hicksville location tonight. What we experienced was so horrendous I felt I had to make sure I posted a review so I can let other people know never to go to this restaurant. I know this is a very long review but you will want to read it. I want to warn people so they don't get sick. We ordered two of the special Halibut dinners. Both of us took one bite of it and had to immediately spit it out. It was so disgusting, extremely dry and very fishy. We told the waiter and asked him to take it back. The manager came over with our plates and told us that we had to eat it and to squish it into the sauce it will taste better. I explained that it didn't taste good and I thought it might of been bad. He insisted it was fresh fish that he picked out himself that morning. But as a frequent halibut eater it was apparent this was old fish and/or frozen. The manager then left with both dishes. Then the owner returned with the same dishes. He said that its impossible it tasted bad. I asked him if he was so sure then he should taste it. He said he didn't have to since he smelt and felt it and knew it was fresh. Then they proceeded to wrap up the two halibut dishes in containers to go and told us we needed to take it and pay for it. Again, this was after the owner put his nose and hands in the food.
I'm so upset and appalled by the way the manager and owner acted. All four of us at the table tasted the halibut and can testify it was bad. They didn't seem to care at all.
I will never go to any of their restaurants again. In all my life, I have never been treated like this. Their food and the way they treat customers is a disgrace!
