I visited Lareira for lunch for the first time today, having previously only been there at night. Surprisingly, my friend and I had the place to ourselves, unlike the usual weekend evening crowd. The shrimp turnovers, calamari, and cognac shrimp are my go-to choices here, while the baked clams were a disappointment with mushy texture and limp bacon. However, the complimentary meat-filled bread was a pleasant surprise and the cognac shrimp never fails to impress with its perfect blend of flavors. The service was excellent, with a helpful waiter guiding us through the Portuguese cuisine menu and ensuring a pleasant dining experience between lunch and dinner hours.
