The food at South Bay Diner in Lindenhurst, NY is delicious and the atmosphere is friendly. I particularly love the Napoleon dish and the service is always excellent. I have been a patron at this diner for over 20 years and have always enjoyed the freshest seafood dishes.

Week your prob. Just a hater i been there so many times for the Pratt 3 years n they are always very good n threes employees r very nice they make You seem like your family so stop three complaining your review sounds ridiculous just like :)

I had the most Horrible experience ever whit the South Bay Diner in Lindenhusrt. My Fiance and I ordered last Friday the Chicken Cesar Salad, we had ordered it TO-GO. Not only was the Salads over $13 a peice when we got home and opened the box there was the worst smelling oder coming from the salads. It was so bad the oder that the Salads were not even eatable. Now having the right amount of anchovy's in a Cesar dressing taste's good, but our salads smelled like and tasted like we were eating Tuna mixed in with flounder, and thats down playing the smell. My Fiance and I both honestly thought that there dressing was probably old or siting out with out being refrigerated. When I called the Diner and spoke to the women at the desk I told her the problem we had and suggested that the batch of salads we had ordered was bad or rottin she told me to come down and they would refund me for BOTH Salads. I made my way down to the Diner that same day, when I got there Owner was at the desk. I had then re-explained the whole thing and I made sure to tell him that I do believe that they were serving people BAD CESAR DRESSING!!! I then told him the women I spoke with this morning told me to come down for a complete refund, He started to freak out right infront of me. I have never in my whole life seen a grown man freak on an innocent costumer like that before, ever. He kept saying "well I never aproved the refund" over and over. He kept trying to give me a GIFT CERTIFCATE, when I told him that I was never ever going to eat there again because of this incident he was geting even more loud and more rude with me. I was not going to take the Gift Certificate because I was never going to eat there again FREE or not. After arguing for 15 minutes over this I finally told him if he's to cheap to refund me for 2 salads then to atleast refund the one and the only reason I said that was because I really felt like he was geting so mad and so irate that maybe he would have gottin violent with me. I have never experienced an owner of any thing let alone a MAN towards a women get so worked up and verbaly attacking some one for $27 dollars. To me that's just becuase he's cheap and obviously had a huge anger problem. I WILL NEVER EVER EAT THERE AGAIN, not only becuase the food was discusting and extremely expansive but I probably was not the 1'st person to have recieved ROTTIN FOOD, that could possibly really get people sick with food poisoning or some thing alot worst. If you want to eat at a good Diner and recieve fresh foods DO NOT EAT AT THE SOUTH BAY DINER IN LINDENHURST
