02/06/2020 - Jeffrey Bonk
I began going to Nat's Coffee Shop when I was 21 years old, and I continued to go almost every morning until in closed in September of 1999.
The wonderful waitresses, Mary & Rosio & Fran & Reba & Sandy & Arlene, became dear friends. They,
along with many of the regular patrons will always hold a very special place in my heart.
I have lived on 4th Street near Hotchkiss Park since I was 21, but I always found my second home when I walked through the front door of Nat's. The waitresses treated me like family, and they always looked for
the biggest cinnamon roll to serve with my breakfast. Every Christmas, my mother and father, Lorraine & Frank would send me a gallon of real New Hampshire maple syrup. I often left those gallons at Nat's and I was always happy to share my maple syrup with my Nat's family. I was given a vintage picture from the 1950's of a California Apple Ad that hung on the wall above Nat's counter that I sat at each morning for so many years. It is now on the wall on my kitchen, and when I see it each morning,
it brings back wonderful memories of a very special time in my life. How blessed I was to be a part of Nat's, and it will always be a part of me.
