My fiance and I love this place and dine in & take out from here all the time. The food is delicious and the customer service is always amazing! I highly recommend El Rancho to anyone.
This is the only place in LA I've found that makes chimichangas the way I like them!!

Just moved into to the area, and found this place, now I'm a regular. Good food, good price, friendly service. Shopping center parking, can be crowded at times. Lucky me I can walk there.

I worked across the street for a couple of years and this was my favorite lunch spot on Ventura in Sherman Oaks.
It's family owned and operated and the service is great. Tally, one of the servers was always really cool to me and my coworkers. I love this place, I stop in whenever I'm in the area. The fajitas are especially good.

This place is one of our secret spots in the valley. The food is authentic, and good. The carnitas,,chicken flautas, and the soups are our favorites. They don't serve alcohol but you can BYO. The lunch time is pretty crowded but it's worth the wait. The service is very friendly.

My husband and I arrived at 3:55 on a Friday afternoon. When I was about to order the lunch special (served until 4), the owner was happy to inform me it was too late. Since I knew for a fact it was before 4, I asked him what time it was. He said "I have 4:05" (I guess they're on bar time), so needless to say, we left. I've arrived at restaurants 5 minutes after lunch specials were supposed to end and have never been turned down. And it's not like the owner didn't recognize us from a couple of nights before when we were in for dinner spending money. And surely he remembered that my husband wanted to leave a tip at the counter, although there was no tip jar, so he told him to leave it for the busser instead, which he did (and a generous one). Although it's creepy to nickel and dime about a lunch special, we would have accepted it if it was actually too late...but to outright lie about the time!! And the funny part is my husband wasn't planning on ordering a lunch special, so what would he have been out on mine...a dollar? And there was not one other soul in the restaurant. He lost two good customers that just moved to the neighborhood and would have been regulars in spite of the mediocre food since it's close and relatively inexpensive. And hopefully he'll lose more customers and the place will stay empty like it was that day we were there.

This is one of the greatest treasures in the Los Angeles area. With great food, not too greasy and sugary like so many restaurants these days, and amazing customer service, this is the one place I must eat at every time I come back to L.A. from DC. I highly recommend it!

Why pay 10 dollars for a tastless burrito when you can drive a mile down Van Blvd and get real mucho grande burrito for half the price.
