I've been going there almost quite often! I love their fried shrimp... their food is inexpensive and beats any of the FAST-FAT-FOOD RESTAURANTS....
I love the family atmosphere and they treat you with kindness!
I love you Coral Reef!!!
Ethan.

This is a hidden gem! I mean really, it's a joint you don't want everyone to know about! The vintage decor is a bit dated but you can only imagine if the walls could talk! The building is old and cool and been around since 50s/50s but adds more character, we think ! So must haves- squid with spicy salt!! The best!! Steamed fish fillets with chili oil--- but not very spicy and so flavorful!! You'll crave it! The crispy duck- classic and tasty. Sautéed eggplant- for real!!! Sizzling rice soup, crispy chicken, shrimp in lobster sauce , ginger and scallion seafood... ugghhh It's all so good! It's a family business so everyone seems to be helping out in this place and it looks like sons, moms, dads, aunts, etc.. working together for that homestyle vibe here. Do yourself a favor and explore the large menu! Writing this review is making me crave this place! I'll be there for lunch today !! Lol !!

Got Orange chicken, which was dry and hard. Tangerine beef was like eating leather. Chow me in tasteless.

Spicy Pork Chop taste great. Also, if you like noodles, I suggest their pan fried noodles house special.

I cannot believe I have just discovered this restaurant just a month ago! Where was I the last 20 years? I have fallen in love with the food and the prices cannot be beat!
I have gotten my whole family hooked on this place and I tell people this is the Atwater Village version of Mr. Chow. The food is just as good, private with no outside windows for all your fans to stare through and the prices are a 1/10th with good service. My little secret is to go for the lunch specials to try it out, especially the Tangerine Beef--so very good and better than The Palace on Hillhurst in Los Feliz--then come back for dinner with guests. My mouth is salivating thinking of all the delicious dishes I have savored.

Our favorite local Chinese Restaurant. Have eaten in and ordered out several times, the food is always fresh and delicious, the service is usually good (sometimes the food takes a lil too long but it is usually worth it). Everyone that I have introduced to this place loves it!

A slightly cheesy-looking decor left over from 1950, but good food and friendly service. The fried squid appetizer is the best fried calmari I've had in LA.
