Went to the Ivy for a birthday dinner. James our waiter was reminded twice during the meal about the birthday surprise. James milked me out of additional $75 on desserts and coffee while we patiently waited for the surprise we were promised 4 different times. After forgetting the birthday James refused to comp the $75 in single scoops of ice cream and coffee he upsold us waiting on our birthday dessert. Service was poor and food overrated. They are way too many options in Santa Monica to let James ruin your special occasion.
