The local bakery on the corner of City Terrace Drive at Carmelita/Van Pelt offers a range of Mexican and American baked goods. I suggest visiting in the early morning for the freshest selection as the bread tends to become stale by late afternoon. For a wider variety and continuous baking throughout the day, consider Sonora Bakery on Whittier Boulevard for a more extensive inventory and delicious sweet bread options.
