Major Disappointment! I used to come here for many years to buy their tamales until I moved away. 5 years later, I had to come to Los Angeles for business and decided to purchase some tamales on the way home, but the tamales were terrible... the masa had no flavor, the meats were all dry and overall, dry and tasteless. Sadly, some of the red pork tamales were spoiling and one cheese and chili tamales had human hair in it and this ruined my family's traditional tamale breakfast. On top of all this, they raised their prices to $35 per dozen and even charged me 4% to use my credit card! Lastly, I purchased a cup of coffee ($5.99) while waiting in line (over and hour). After making my tamale purchase, I asked for a refill and was told I needed to purchase another one because they do not offer refills! Sad... I will never come here again!

Located in the heart of East LA, I love going early on weekends for their classic tamales and champurrado. The flavorful tamales with moist masa have kept me a loyal customer for years. Despite the limited parking, the delicious food at Lilliana's Tamales is definitely worth the visit.
