The food at this place is consistently hot and accurately prepared, and the staff are friendly and attentive. It's everything you could want in a take-out experience.

I've tried this restaurant numerous times in the last 2 and a half years. It is by far the worst experience I've ever had at a Chinese restaurant. There are a few things they make that are quality, i.e. the egg rolls and the hot and sour soup. But don't order anything containing meat or chicken, because you won't get any! From the Hunan chicken to the Kung Pao chicken to the chow mein, all you get are loads of vegetables in a thick sauce. The sauces are generally very tasty, but I'm not content to pay 8-9 dollars for a dish with maybe 3 or bites of chicken or beef in it. The gen. Tao's chicken and the sesame chicken are two notable exceptions to this, because those recipes don't call for many vegetables and therefore it is impossible for them to pass off the dish as containing meats when in fact it's all vegetables and sauce.. Complaining to these folks is met with surly indifference, and is not the way to go. The way to go is to eat at a different establishment, which I have found, to my delight. I will not mention the name or location of this or other establishments because I don't want to be perceived as simply trying to harm Star East's business. But take it from me, you can do MUCH better than to waste your money there.
