After hearing good things about South Bay's Friday night fish fry, I popped in, checked out the menu and placed an order to take out. All I can say is O M G! The perch was lightly battered and deep fried. Not greasy. Scrumptious! The baked cod really did taste like lobster! I chose baked potato and cole slaw as sides. The lady who took my order was friendly and helpful. The bartender (owner?)served me a drink while I waited for my dinners. He was pleasant, professional and friendly. He thanked me for my business and as I was leaving, the server ran over and thanked me with a big smile. Great food, great service. 10 stars! Oh yeah, we'll be back!

I have been coming down here for over 30 years now and to the person that wrote " they don't like white people" sounds like somebodies restaurant isn't doing good and they want this places business, nothing could be further from the truth. One of the most friendly places their is. I live in Dallas now but when I come home I make it a point to stop in. Its nice coming back home! Excellent fish!!

I don't know what that last person is talking about by saying "not friendly to white people" are you kidding me? This is a friendly neighborhood tap, immaculately clean, friendly service and the fish fry is very respectable - hot, crispy, exactly like you would expect. Do not hesitate to try this place, you will not be disappointed.
