I have been going to this restaurant since it was kornhauskeller I was about 8 years old my parents used to bring me and my brother every Monday night we we get the best lobster rolls in the world french fries pretty great too and now that it's called the chickadee it's just as perfect as it ever was

The prime rib is the best and the flavor is awesome. They give a large portion and when you add onions and mushrooms, you will love it even more. Thank you for such an awesome meal. Try their seafood, you won't be disappointed.

If you like high price French fries that is the place to go.....because you will get very little else....The restaurant is a rip off.....The gridiron is much better

The best service ever from a server by the name of Jamie. She was the greatest. She treated us like we were the only table she was waiting on. Wonderful service. Would go back any day!!!!!!!

My husband and I come every 2 weeks. Always great food and service. Much better then the Turner one.
My son always wants to come here for his birthday . Loves the all you can eat shrimp deal. Other restaurants give you the evil eye if you ask for thirds. Chickadee wait staff are always pleasant.

My wife and i have found no problems with the Chickadee.I myself like the seating arrangement alot better in lewiston rather than up in turner at the other location.Always great food here and the waitress is always pleasant and helpfdul.My wife and i both usually order the seafood plater here.I like the lewiston location better than turner.Easier sometimes getting back out into the flow of traffic in lewiston rather than busy route 4 traffic.My recomendation is drop in and enjoy a great meal at reasonable prices.

Was there today for lunch with classmate group of ten. I had the stuffed haddock with lobster sauce lunch special.; only found like 2 small pieces of fish and was so overcooked that had to use a butter knife to cut and still couldn't cut it.the reason I didn't ask for something else is because my group would have been done eating before I got my other order.Also two other people were very disappointed with their lunch but didn't order the same as I did.....just thought I would let U know.

Was there for lunch today with a groupe of ten. Had lunch haddock special with lobster sauce.......fish was so overcooked could not find it and had to cut with a butter knife at the edges of the casserole dish and still wouldn't cut......had about 2 bites if fish.......the only reason I didnd't say anything is that my groupe would have been done eating before I could order something else....thought U might want to know and also at least 2 other people were dissafied with their meal and did not order the same as I did.
Sure hope U improve........

i think is is a great place to eat i had all you can eat shrimp and always got refills the service is great and the owner even waited on us and stopped doing what he was doing to have a little chat now that is truly customer satisfaction. thank you for great food and great service keep up the good job

This is a family-restaurant that offers a variety of seafood dishes as well as other comfort foods. I never noticed that the bread basket is lined with a coffee filter but I have appreciated that the staff is friendly & attentive. I've made Chickadees a regular stop when I visit my daughter who attends Bates- everyone can find something they like on the menu. We always walk away full and still have $$$ left in our wallet.

First of all, with any restaraunt the employees are human and subject to error. I eat there all the time, and can tell you they will take all necessary steps to fix any mistake, even tho most are made by the customers and not the staff. They are the nicest group of people, and if anyone was treated rudely it is the staff by some of these customers. They do serve dinner rolls in baskets with coffee filters, but that is a way of them cutting cost, so they can offer good deals on the food. The have lunch buffets weekly and offer low cost meal specials daily to fit everyones budgets. I urge you to try them out, and form your own opinions. Dont let your opinion by formed by some of these people that probably complain about everything.

I left a post yesterday letting people know they are very unfriendly and the shrimp tasted like ammonia, I think its a sign of old seafood! I WOULD NOT recommend it at all!

This restaurant is fantastic!! Who cares if your rolls are served in a coffee filter?? They still put them in a basket. Its creative. Did you expect fine china?? They have great prices because they find ways to cut without cutting on food or service. Go to Espos and you will get your fine China... but dont expect to pay less than $50.00 a plate for small portions. Chickadee has amazing food and amazing service.End of story.

Chickadee has long time been a family favorite in turner. AS a child i remember going every Friday night and always enjoying our meals.It only seems fair to try the new location in lewiston when It opened its doors. I found the atmosphere to be far more classy than the one in turner yes they do serve rolls in Coffey filters but I think you should be happy you are getting free rolls to begin with.The food was just as good as I remembered. The waitstaff were all very nice and more than happy to assist in any way.There seems to be a large crowd of regular customers that are always happy as well.Coffey is always fresh and serving size is huge!!!They seem to be doing very well. I hope nothing but the best for the new location.

Well after reading the last review from Kristie Burebe I had to laugh... My husband and I have been going to the Chick a dee for years. Before the one in Lewiston opened we went to the Auburn one often. We now only go to the Lewiston one now because of its convenience. Needless to say not only is the food and prices amazing the service has always been great. We have actually had Jamie for a waitress several times and not only is she very attentive but she is a sweet girl. Anything but rude!! Bill Hird and his family have done a great job making the chick a dee in Lewiston a warm inviting place to dine. I really hope people don't let those other reviews stop them from experiencing a wonderful meal. You wont be disappointed. P.S. Try the lobster roll.

Overall it's a good restaurant. The portions are generous. Good value.
Most of the food is quite good except the broiled scallops are more fishy than the fried. The salads are the cheapest veggies; iceberg lettuce, cello tomatoes and lousy cukes. The dinner rolls are finger rolls and they don't give you bread plates or a saucer when you get tea. When you ask for one, they bring you a mini dish and you have to explain each time why you need a saucer and they correct you and call it a plate.
Hence service is generally attentive, but unsophisticated and there doesn't seem to be any dress requirements because they don't dress very neatly, but they all are pretty nice and open to please.

I was not impressed with service it was my first time at chickadee in Lewiston. We went on a wed. and on the menu was specials the one i ordered was all you can eat shrimp dinner. Well waitress took our order there were 4 0f us. Brought our drinks and food promply but waitress never came back to see if we needed anything drinks refilled more shrimp whatever did come once when we first got meal and sitched out sister soda never said anything and did not even bring her same kind. Next she came said do we want dessert we said no she gave us the check so i asked her how do you get all you can eat shrimp if no one comes back to see if you want more she said you have to come get her and she would have to put in thee order and wait for them to cook it etc. I have never seen that kind of service. I said to her no wonder they offer all you can eat to attract people then they avoid them so they wont order more. I was dissappointed

we had our bread served to us in a paper coffee filter, the service was slow rude and we haven't been back since. Way over-rated !!!!!!

First off, the prices are AMAZING. The portions are amazing. The service is fast! Always quick and never loud, very nice place for family. TRY THEIR BUFFALO CHICKEN IT IS THE GREATEST!!!
