We stopped here for breakfast on 10/24/09. Very good food and the coffee was great! Highly recommend it.

We discovered this gem of a diner on a road trip last month.
The homemade kale soup was amazing and the lobster roll was fresh and tasty, made with a generous portion of real lobster meat. Dessert, home made caramel apple pie, was to die for. Even the coffee was terrific! Great food in a nostalgic atmosphere. Learning that the diner was used for the filming of the movie "Empire Falls" made the stop even more special.

Every time I go to Empire Grill to eat I always end up with a dirty table.

I find balled up straw papers behind the jellies, spilled salt or sugar around the sugar container.
I do not think that the staff ever washes the whole table.

There are cup rings, or water stains, or even food on the seats. I can feel and hear the dirt crunch under my feet.

There are napkins, silverware and empty jelly containers between the wall and the seats. I have found them under the tables, I see dropped food and spilled drink marks on the floor.

I love this resturaunt I just went there last week , but will deffenetly be back ! The food was amazing and the Chocolate Chip Cookie Pie was to die for!
