My sons took me here for Mother's Day 2011. It was close to closing time BUT the service and food should be same as if it was opening time. The food was TERRIBLE...salad bar was picked over..not freshened up. Baked haddock woth blue cheese was like pig slop for the price they paid. Baked potatotes was dried up. The place was untidy too. Very dissatisfied for the price they had to pay on a special day.

As visitors we only get to Maine about 3 times a year and we always go to the Offshore to eat.In October when we went we did not look at the menu (our mistake) as we already knew what we wanted.My husband ordered his normal large meal and as always I ordered the salad bar only.I have a health problem that only allows me to eat a tiny bit of food at a time.When the bill came,I had been charged 9.99 just for the salad bar that we had always payed 3.99 for.I was floored.I may as well have ordered a very large meal that comes with the salad bar and told the waitress to put my meal in a take out box and just eaten the salad bar.It would have cost very little more.I will not only not return--I will not bring the 8-10 other people who accompany us.
