We dined at this lovely cafe twice and were blown away by the delicious meals we had for both breakfast and dinner. From the fish cakes to the lobster dinner, everything was fantastic and served by a caring and friendly staff. The cozy and cheerful setting in beautiful Stonington made the experience even more enjoyable, and we can't wait to visit again whenever we're in Maine!

First time there. Sign said please wait to be seated while waiting I placed my pocket book on a table the waitress proceeded to very loudly across the restaurant ( can't you see the sign wait to be seated!! ) I had already walked back to wait for someone to seat me when I was greeted with the outburst!! She asked or shouted do you have reservations surprised when I said yes. The waitress then said you sit here not there!! Wow!! Another couple came into the restaurant after us the waitress asked do you have a reservation they said no the waitress then said where would you like to sit?!? What? Just bazaar.

Everything I have ever eaten there, has been cooked to perfection and delicious! They also don`t skimp on the portions. The cooks are fabulous, and the wait staff are very friendly. As far as the person who complained about the food, she should have politely sent it back. They would have been more than happy to replace it.

While dining here recently we found our food to be totally inedible. I had a French onion soup that was just horrible, and the grilled cheese sandwich that came with it wasn't buttered on the bread and harder than a rock. Our waitress was very friendly, but we could hear the crew in the kitchen and their language was not that to be heard by children.
