The restaurant offers good food and great service in a small and cozy setting. Reservations are recommended due to its popularity, especially for special cocktail specials. While there is no view, the pleasant service and delicious food make for a great dining experience.

On July 2, 2015 we had a reservation for 5:30 pm for dinner. We arrived on time and were seated right away. Upon being seated, our hostess told us it might be a little slower as the kitchen had a "to go" order to fill but it wouldn't take long. So we ordered drinks and our dinner at the same time. We got our drinks and proceeded to wait for about 20 minutes, then a side of chowder was served and we waited for another 30 minutes and they served bread, and we asked "When will we get our meal"? The waitress told us "I am not allowed to talk to the chef" but it should be soon. So we ordered a 2nd drink. After a total of 90 minutes we once again asked about our meal. "It should be here shortly, was the answer. We are not happy. so after another added 25 minutes we decided to leave and have them make our order a "to go" order since those seemed to be filled before the seated customers. Well, she brought us another drink , free, but we didn't want it just our meal. Finally we decided to leave and had a very serious chat with the server. I left the restaurant as I was so mad I just had to get out of the place. My husband waited another 10 minutes and they packaged our meal to go,. Whooppee. We drove 30 miles to this restaurant, on my birthday, and after 2 hours+ had not eaten our meal.
We will NEVER go back. Apparently reservations mean nothing to this owner. I was disapppointed that we even had to pay for anything. And, the food is not cheap. This was a special occasion for me and this restaurant ruined my evening.

One of Maine's top restaurants offering gourmet dining of fresh Maine seafood as well as other specialities. Very good service in this small restaurant. Check for days/times open
