The address is given as 162 Main Street. This should be more correctly identified as the "Barn Door Bakery Cafe" and it's adjacent to "Sherman's Maine Coast Book Shop" with an address of 158 Main Street, even though they're connected. You can walk over to the cafe thru the bookstore. All the baked goods, such as muffins, quiche, cookies, savory hand pies, fruit pies and pastries are baked at the "Barn Door Bakery." The sandwiches, salads and a few other things are prepared at the cafe. I love the blueberry muffins, but one day they were out of them as they're very popular. They told me that the bakery was just a few doors up the street. It's located in a barn (hence the name) behind a white house that is located at 212 Main Street.
I managed to find it, and I ordered a half dozen to be picked up on a day that I specified. Then yesterday, I found out that a new business, "Barn Door Breakfast" had opened in May. It's located in the house in front of the bakery at the same address. The hours of all three places are very clearly listed on the Barn Door Bakery website. The bakery (Production Kitchen in the red barn) is open every day from 8 AM - 2 PM. I also like the savory hand pies and they're similar to empinadas, at least that was the way they were described when I looked it up. The one I tried had squash, onions and I think turkey. I'm a little fuzzy on the ingredients, but it was beyond delicious and I told them so. The new business, "Barn Door Breakfast" was the former location of "Crissy's Breakfast & Coffee Bar." They closed in September of 2020.
