I hate writing reviews but this was so bad that I had to. My wife stopped at KFC and got the 10 piece chicken with 1 large fries and 1 individual gravy. My wife dished up my 2 kids and her self. Then it was my turn. I pulled out a piece of chicken and noticed that it had something pointy coming from the chicken skin and was covered and cooked with batter. After close inspection I realized that it was feathers that had not been plucked from the bird and was coated and deep fried. Now I'm imagining someone grabbing a piece of chicken and seeing stuff sticking out of the skin and most likely saying "F" it and coating it and deep frying it, knowing full well that someone was most likely going to eat that and maybe choke or have the feathers jab the inside of their mouth. So I called the store to tell them what I found and see what they were willing to do about it. Not once did I talk to a manager (not by choice) on the phone. At first after saying what I found the lady on the phone was offering a credit ($23.06) for the meal. I told her I would prefer a full refund and never come back again. She then took my name and phone number so the manager could call me back. Why? Not sure why she couldn't just talk to me on the phone that second but in any case. I get fed up waiting for a call back and the kids are getting more and more hungry with every passing minute. I can't blame them, I wouldn't eat the feathery chicken either. So I head to KFC to come to a resolution. As I'm walking up to KFC I get a phone call. Again, not from the manager! Now, she is offering a refund and asking for a receipt. My wife had left the receipt in the car and I didn't take it with me. So now they are refusing to do anything without a receipt even though it was paid for with a debit card and could have easily been looked up to verify a purchase. I asked why they need a receipt now when they didn't before and they said it was to see how much was paid and how it was paid. I had already told them what was purchased and said it was paid for by debit. They didn't want to look it up or take my word for it. So, I phoned my wife and told her she needed to dig up that receipt and send me a pic of it to show them so we could get our money back and put an end to this terrible experience. She sends me a picture and I head back into KFC to get a refund. I put what is left of the meal on the counter and tell the guy that "I would like a refund". Finally the manager gets involved and starts checking the food. The first thing she says is that half of the chicken is gone and a bunch of fries are gone too. I explained that everyone else dished up before I caught the chicken with feathers. So all that food went into the garbage because no one would eat it after finding out that there was chicken with feathers in it still. Because of the food that went in the garbage the manager only wanted to refund for the food that was brought back to the store. Instead of taking a partial refund and still having to feed the family I demanded they remake the whole order again. They remade the fries and chicken but didn't put a gravy in the bag. I told them I was missing the gravy and they were hesitant on giving me the gravy. In hind sight, they didn't want to do anything about it. Definitely no refund let alone a credit or remake the whole order. This was the worst experience I have ever had with any place that serves food. Any other place would have given a full refund without issues to make up for the inconvenience and out of pocket expenses due to making multiple trips to the restaurant and for handing out gross food in the hopes that maybe they won't say it all over social media or by word of mouth and possibly come back and be a customer again. I won't be back as a customer and I will definitely be telling people not to go and point them in the direction of the Tiktok video showing and talking about the chicken. I know I'm missing some of the crappy stuff that happened but it definitely gets the picture and my point across! @needtoknowbasis3 (Tiktok)
