My wife and I went to the Chuar Restaurant & Bar in Salisbury Maryland for lunch today and the experience was awful. We ordered a fish dish which included vegetables. When the food arrived and we took a bite, we discovered the vegetables were full of grains of sand. They had not cleaned them properly before cooking them.
We immediately called the owner to our table to express our concern with the dish. The owner never offered any apology of any type, and actually had a sour look on her face like it was our fault. Never once did she say she was sorry or offered a replacement dish. On top on that, we were charged full price for a dish we couldn't even eat.
I would not recommend eating at this restaurant. They don't wash their vegetables properly before cooking and serving them to their customers. If they can't take the time to clean the vegetables properly, it makes me wonder if they take any time to even clean the kitchen where all the food is prepared. I seriously doubt it is very clean based upon our experience today and also seeing the condition of the bathroom when I was in there. Who knows what dirt or germs you're eating when you get your food from here.
