Whiting overcooked dry mos ago. This July 31 decided to try again.. terrible taste like leather cooked to death !! That it no ever going to Ella's !!!!

The service reminded me of an Alabama neighborhood eatery. The staff was tremendously engaging and delightful. The food was well prepared and great portions. A must stop for family dinner

I would leave zero stars if I could. The food used to be really good, but the last few times, it's been mediocre. Today it was horrible. I don't know what happened, but everything was bad. I had chicken wings, cabbage, mac & cheese and potato salad. Seems like I got the last of the mac & cheese in the pan. Just terrible. And those girls in the front...the worst. It was the light-skinned female cashier today. She was extremely rude and unprofessional. Save your money and go elsewhere. Today was my last time going here.

My second time going there and I should have gone some place else. The lima beans were terrible. Stewed tomatoes should be taken off the menu. Taste like cough syrup.

A coworker told me they had very good food, I went yesterday and the food was absolutely delicious. I will be eating there again very soon.

I went to Ella Rayes and had the whiting dinner!! Absolutely marvelous. I hope they cater because we want to cater our family reunion this year and this would be perfect...

Bought a chitterling dinner which was greasy and only had red peppers as seasoning. My mom had the salmon and no taste. The sides looked good but no taste other than pepper. Won't say never but it will be a while before my next trip.

Picked up two dinners today. Unfortunately, they both had greens. The greens were a little tough and had NO seasoning. I was surprised because normally all the food is well seasoned and exceptionally good.
I will still recommend this place to anyone looking for soul good.

The food is the truth. Of course some items could be even better. The chitterlings could use more seasoning and also be tender (found them to be chewy). The meatloaf is cut too thick but tasty. The chicken wings could use more seasoning.
I'm going to continue to patronize them. Just looking forward to better seasoning.

The cabbage, Mac & Cheese, stewed tomatoes and black eyed peas are excellent. I have always been pleased with the food and service at Ella Ray's. The cashiers double as servers and are always extremely courteous and friendly. When I dine in, it's like having food at a friend's house. I look forward to each visit!
