Bagels are good but they constantly use the same gloves to touch money, pens and the food you are about to eat. What's the point of wearing the gloves?

OK, so I'm done going here. Too bad really, the bagels are very good. The rudeness and bad attitude by that skinny blond woman spoils he whole experience. I feel sorry for the guy trying to manage the place. Who would want to put up with that all day.

If you want to be treated rudely, this is the place to go. I went in this morning and bought two dozen bagels. The cashier, a blond girl in her 20s, looked at me, obviously annoyed, and said "FROM NOW ON, IF YOU WANT THIS MANY BAGELS, CALL AHEAD. WE ONLY MAKE SO MANY." No "please" or "we would appreciate it" -- nothing. After I paid, no "thank you." I would never go back.

I completely disagree with the reviews that say that service is rude. Every time I go in they are very friendly and conversational. In fact, once I locked my keys in the car, and the "blond woman with glasses", who I think is the owner, actually offered to drive me to my house to pick up my spare keys ad brought me back! I can't imagine that happening anywhere else!
And since when does any restaurant not charge for at least some extras? Did you ever notice that McDonald's charges different prices for hamburgers and cheeseburgers? You're being charged for cheese!!!

Why do people with such bad attitudes go into the service industry? Is it so hard to be a little pleasant to your customers? Rude and unpleasant service will certainly put this place under; it just a matter of time.

to the posters who are unhappy about being charged for the extras. i would fully expect to pay an additional charge for items that do not ordinarily come with that particular sandwich. after all, these do cost the business. try asking for an extra sweet & sour sauce with your nuggets. you'll be charged. extras are just that....extra

Benson bagels has good bagels but the service is bad the woman at the register who seems to be the owner is rude and raises prices on there food. you are charges for your condiments cheese and all. this is crazy i understand the economy is crashing but come on 20 cents for lettuce Lil. this is crazy

this was my first time i have ever gone into Benson bagels in springfield it is a clean establishment but service is unacceptiable the blond woman with glasses was rude and baligerant she charged me 40 cents for lettuce ,tomato and cheese it was crazy the woman there needs to take angermanagemet clsses also have better customer service
