I've visited Zachary's twice now and both times the food has been absolutely perfect! The French toast was wonderfully crunchy and the service was quick, plus being able to see the open kitchen in action was a nice touch. The staff was incredibly friendly and it's clear they have a lot of regular customers, making for a really enjoyable breakfast experience.

Went to Zachary's this morning to have a special early breakfast with my daughter before dropping her off at school and had a very bad experience. My family and I go a lot. The food is good and usually comes out quick. Unfortunately the waitress was unprofessional, impolite, lacked customer service and common courtesy.
We arrived and didn't get a kids menu had to ask for one after a few minutes and after a few minutes, my daughter is 5. She never got offered the markers that come with the laminated menus to draw on. It was about 6:45am, there were only two men having breakfast and two men whom came after us, we sat and waited to place our order and were ignored.
The waitress went to the two men whom came after us and asked for their order and put it in before ours. I politely went up to the counter and let her know we were ready to order. The waitress cut me off before I could finish my sentence and said: "I'm busy putting in an order I will go over when I'm done". I wanted to leave right there and then but, looking back at my daughter and seeing the joy in her eyes of going to a restaurant with just mom. I made the decision to stick it out, this was a special breakfast date with my daughter.
The waitress came back to take our orders after telling her coworkers a story or conversation of some sort, about a bar. The waitress asked for our order and as I was speaking the waitress just kept interrupting, to show and set a good example for my 5 year old, I just started over and repeated our entire order, continuing to say please and thank you the entire time.
An older couple sat down across from us and said good morning and complimented my daughters beautiful dress, my daughter shyly said thank you. We got chocolate chip pancakes although my daughter didn't ask for them, the waitress never came back to ask us if everything was okay although she went around to the other tables to check and ask.
We were done with our meals and my daughter sat on my lap an obvious sign that we were done. I sat looking over towards the kitchen and my daughter laid her head on my shoulder facing the window. The waitress looked at me and went to the back and the rest of the staff scattered to the back. Again only the older couple and us sitting at the restaurant.
After waiting a few minutes I couldn't help but ask the older couple, across from us, if they have ever had a bad experience here, since I hadn't until today. The man mentioned they changed a lot of the waitresses. At this point the waitress rushed over and asked what I wanted or needed, again very rude.
I politely asked for a to-go box. I also mentioned we got something we didn't order, didn't get markers and were never checked on again. She walked away and said: "I will get you some to-go boxes". Not acknowledging anything I had just mentioned or apologizing. The couple next to us said: "I can't believe she didn't even say sorry". I then responded: "I figured she would at least apologize" at this point the waitress very loudly said: "I'm not apologizing, no I'm not apologizing"
The couple across from us sat in disbelief and nodded their heads. I couldn't help but ask the older woman across from us for her phone number in case I wanted to notify management. The woman gave me her home and cell number and assured me I could call her anytime. The waitress was still saying something in the back, behind the counter, all I heard her say clearly was: "what is her problem?"
What was supposed to be a special breakfast date with my 5 year old turned out to be the worst lack of customer service experience I have ever had. I didn't dare touch the food and just prayed that the waitress or her colleagues hadn't done anything to tamper with my daughters' food. Unfortunately, I don't think my family and I will be returning.
