My family, extended family, and I frequently visit this yogurt shop. I've known the owner for a few years now (always forget his name), and although I'd like to tell him this, the staff wouldn't share when he'd be available. That being said, on December 3rd at 1900, my sister, friend, and I went in to get our usual: 2 large boba teas, and a cup for frozen yogurt. While our teas were being made, my friend was getting the yogurt. My friend had filled her cup with 2 flavors of yogurt going onto the third when the machine spat out a lot of what seemed water onto the yogurt into the cup. She informed one of the girls about it and requested another cup. The girl said calmly that my friend would have to pay for what she had already obtained. We all thought she was joking, but she wasn't. We were shocked. I explained to her what had transpired and was told they weren't going to waste what was already in the cup. I asked to speak with the other girl and informed her of what had happened. She was very argumentative. She told us it wasn't water - that it was melted yogurt. I told her it wasn't acceptable that we'd be forced to pay for an machine error. She again said it was only melted yogurt. She took the cup and looked at it and didn't budge. I showed her where it looked wet in the inside and she just had a smug face. My friend then took me to the machine and showed me how she had poured most of the liquid out into the tray underneath the machine. My sister and friend decided to leave. I went to the girl and told her to check the tray so she could see what had happened. Again, she was just there with a smug face. I told her this wasn't acceptable and asked for her name. She said she wouldn't provide it. I asked the other girl, and she didn't provide me with her name either. I then asked when the store owner would come in, and again smugly didn't provide any info. I left as well. Their concern was not to waste the wet yogurt and have us pay. In the end, they not only ended up wasting the wet yogurt but also the two large boba teas. To the shop owner: I would tell you as a manager myself that you would have to retrain your staff in not only providing customer service but also being open to listening what was being said. However, one of the girls' attitude is not governed by store policy but by her own personality. I would advise that you really vet out your employees who have a personality trait that is not conducive to good service. My entire family will be notified of what transpired and we will not be visiting your shop anymore until this is rectified. Thank you.
