The sushi rolls we ordered, including the soft shelled crab, were disappointing and left me questioning the chef's commitment to quality. However, the service was pleasant, and the atmosphere was welcoming, making me consider returning for a different experience.

Do not take home! Absolutely micro proportions, 3 bite salad for $8.00. Pathetic emaciated proportions. Rolls were half. Will never visit hero's again.

I've been a big fan of sushi and other Japanese food since I lived in Japan in the 70's and then later in SF where one can find good sushi. More recently I've eaten a lot of sushi over the years in Portland. Hiro's is really quite good, far above any place else in the valley. The fish is so fresh .... My only complaint which most people would disagree with is -- I'd like the sashimi sliced a tiny bit thinner. This place has great service and excellent food. A highly recommend!

Hands down the best sushi in Medford. I've never had a less than amazing sushi roll from Hiro.
